WHO IS HALLI CASSER-JAYNE?

She's smart. She's sassy. She's thoughtful, unconventional, and blatantly honest. She's Halli Casser-Jayne, the author of A YEAR IN MY PAJAMAS WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA and she's the co-host of The Halli and MoJoe Show on BlogTalkRadio.

A foreign correspondent in the 1980's, Halli reported from war-torn El Salvador, Nicaraugua, and guerrilla-infested Guatemala.

She wrote and produced the six-hour rockumentary on the seminal 60's band the DOORS. She collaborated with Door's drummer, John Densmore on his now celebrated biography, Riders on the Storm.

Her book, Still Life, images of Antietam, features the first serious collection of photographs recorded of Antietam Battlefield since Alexander Gardner's 1866 work, Sketchbook of the Civil War. The 152-page volume is a deeply emotional look at the single bloodiest day in American history.

MAMBO, A Conversation with the Gods, follows reporter Sydney Gordon's pursuit of the missing Jorge Petro-Brain taking the reader on a walk through the jungles of a Central American Republic and the equally harsh world of network news.

Her new novel, Scout Finch's Diary is scheduled to hit bookstores in October 2011.

Never shy about expressing her thoughts, Halli shares her opinions and commentary on her blog, The CJ Political Report that she writes from her farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with a clear view of Washington ways.
